Ok after the glue has dried (or while it's drying if you are impatient like me:-) ) You can work on the wing fabric. Either using the solid color of your choice, or your hand painted fabric (let me know if you are interested in how I did that.) cut a pieces about 8x10...this will most likely be way more than you need but we can save the extras for other projects.
Using the fabric paint put a small amount onto all the wires...this is just to temporarily adhere the fabric to the wires. (BTW just leave the wings stuck to the plastic for now1)
